Done in 5 minutes - Easy way to have herbs in the kitchen! Line the bottom of a mason jar with glass beads or marbles, then layer in potting mix, and then add the plant, and top with more glass beads. The photo shows Alyssum and Rosemary - and while Alyssum may seem like an odd choice for an "herb garden" it would be pretty in a kitchen, and does well with irregular watering - always important!

Ummmm..... we should definitely re-pot our plants into terrarium/glass containers. Maybe then we would love them more and actually water them because it would look cool to see it soak through the soil. :-P

What you need: Glass teapot A small amount of potting mix A selection of small succulents & cactus (Particularly ones with tiny ones growing around the edges) This took a leisurely half hour with minimal mess.
