The President's Lady by Irving Stone. Stone has a way of telling a story where he tells of moments in time, with the ease & flow of a nove. This is a love stoy for the ages, this is the story of Rachel & Andrew Jackson.

This is one of my favorite books. I wish I could be more like Jane. You start this book and your pride flares up, but you have to really think about what Jesus taught us about having the heart of a servant... it is beautiful, and in all the ways you cannot see and wouldn't expect

Read this early on in my teaching career, fell in love with Pat Conroy - Prince of Tides, Great Santini, Beach Music, Lords of Discipline, South Broad, My Losing Season. Maybe that's why I fell in love with Charleston, SC when I first visited it!
