Friday Journals--kids write a note on Friday to their parents telling about their week at school. The parents write a short response back to their child, and the child brings the notebook back Monday. I did this for three years and loved it! I took 5 different journals each week and responded to kids as well…I learned a lot doing that! Kids write about problems they had, as well as learning!

When kids are pulled for speech, OT, reading groups, etc., they put the cup on their desk to say they are out of the room. It makes it easy to glance around the room and see who has been pulled.
