Grains of sand magnified to 250 times real size. God is amazing. He created each grain of sand uniquely But you can't see that right away. You have to really look. Not just glance, but pour over a microscope. I think this parallels us as humans amazingly. From far away, we all look the same, just humans. But when you know us deeply (as God does), you see how wonderfully unique each and every one of us really is. And we really are beautiful, just like the simplicity of this picture.

The Narrows in the Texas Hill Country, this link shows you some of the most beautiful places to travel. I want to go to all of them!!!
The Narrows in the Texas Hill Country , Austin Texas... " A breathtakingly beautiful place and secret swimming spot. " near Spicewood
The Narrows near Austin, TX. Privately-owned nature reserve home to endangered species.
Visit the Narrows in TexasHistory: This tract was purchased in 2000 by a group of partners, who shared a goal of conserving the uniqueness a spectacular canyon between sheer bluffs up to forty feet tall formed by the Blanco River in the Texas Hill Country. The property includes a famous 1000-foot-stretch known as the "Narrows," as well as an additional 3000 feet of river frontage. The joint owners donated a conservation easement to TLC, in November 2001, ensuring that the ranch will never be further subdivided. The upper part of this canyon (called the Narrows) is no more than 10 feet wide at its narrowest point and sometimes the water comes all the way up the cliffs. At this point, the river cuts through an exposed coral reef dating from the Late Cretaceous period (shortly before the extinction of dinosaurs). It is a product of water erosion through relatively soft limestone. According to a report compiled by the Southwest Association of Student Geological Societies, these bluffs contain a sequence of rocks showing the gradual emergence of an ancient reef out of the ocean. Fossils of more than 29 types have been found. Though the Blanco often dries up during hot summertime, there are swimming holes formed by potholes in the canyon. There are four waterfalls, water from subsurface aquifers seeps out through the walls, supporting garden-like beds of maidenhair fern, shield fern, and chatterbox orchid. At one point, the canyon walls have eroded leaving an isolated limestone tower. Geologists brought to the site by J. David Bamberger think it may once have been a cave that collapsed and that the potholes were formed in the cave. Not surprisingly, the property also contains at least one cave big enough to crawl into. For ecologists, the bluffs of the Narrows have another surprise. Botanist Bill Carr has found at least five rare plants including canyon mock-orange, a globally rare shrub with beautiful white flowers occurring nowhere else in the world but the eastern Hill Country; American smoke-tree, which grows in only a few counties in Texas; and maidenbush, another shrub that grows out of bare limestone bluffs are also found here. The conservation easement donated to TLC ensures that the Narrows will always be managed as a rare natural and scenic site.

Every March, the tulip fields outside Amsterdam turn into carpets of lime green sprouts as spring emerges. When the season is in full swing, the area is swathed in a rainbow of blooms. A few different bulb-growing regions in the Netherlands, the most well-known area lies between the towns of Haarlem in the province of Noord-Holland and Sassenheim, north of Leiden, in the province of Zuid-Holland including the small village of Lisse, southwest of Amsterdam, home to the Keukenhof Gardens.

Blue eyed horse
There has never been a genetically verified albino horse. The albino gene does not occur in horses. There are two colors that appear albino. One is Cremello, which is caused by two copies of the gene that makes a horse palomino or buckskin. They have pink skin and blue eyes. Cremello coloration is common in many horse breeds.

Alistair Heseltine - Using nature as art is nothing new, but what I really like about his sculptures and designs are the distinct lines created from natural sources, like the tree above. He makes formations that teeter on the ledge between natural and man-made, making us think both about the art and the elements used to create it.

The unprecedented flooding in Pakistan in 2010 caused millions of spiders to climb into trees to escape the floodwaters. The water took so long to recede that the trees became covered in a cocoon of spiderwebs, which has in turn cut down on the malaria-spreading mosquito population in those areas.

Spider webs filled with trees after flooding in Pakistan. Wow!!!
An unexpected side effect of the 2010 flooding in parts of Sindh, Pakistan, was that millions of spiders climbed up into the trees to escape the rising flood waters; because of the scale of the flooding and the fact that the water took so long to recede, many trees became cocooned in spiderwebs. People in the area had never seen this phenomenon before. (Courtesy: National Geographic)

Collapsing Earth: Why Are Giant Sinkholes Swallowing Cars, Homes And People All Around The World?
The Giant Hole In Guatemala City This is the scene in Guatemala after a 200ft deep sink hole swallowed up a three-storey building. The enormous crater appeared in the Central American country's capital, Guatemala City, as it was being ravaged by torrential rain and mudslides during Tropical Storm Agatha.
In 2010, a huge sinkhole swallowed a 3-story building in Guatemala. The hole is about 18 metres (60 feet) wide and 30 stories deep, according to a National Geographic article. It’s thought to have been caused by a ruptured sewer line, but no one knows for sure.
Just another example of Mother Earth kicking us off her planet... "the gates of hell just opened in Guatemala" Tuesday, June 01, 2010
Giant 200 Feet Hole Opens Up in Guatemala, Guatemala City - Last Monday, May 31, 2010, a ravaging tropical storm named Agatha swept across Central America bringing torrential rain that killed more than 100 people & opened a 200 ft. (60m) deep sinkhole in Guatemala City which reportedly swallowed up a three-storey building. Witnesses claim at least one man went down the hole.

A metal developed by a team of researchers from University of California at Irvine, HRL Laboratories and the California Institute of Technology is pictured resting on a dandelion fluff without damaging it in this undated publicity photo released to Reuters on November 17, 2011. The metal, which is about 100 times lighter than styrofoam, is the world's lightest material, according to a press release by the team. Their findings will be published in the November 18, 2011 issue of "Science" journal.

A series of huge breaking waves line the horizon in Birmingham, AL, 12/16/2011, their crests surging forward in slow motion. Experts say the clouds were pristine examples of "Kelvin-Helmholtz waves." Whether seen in the sky or in the ocean, this type of turbulence always forms when a fast-moving layer of fluid slides on top of a slower, thicker layer, dragging its surface.
Birmingham, Alabama at midday on December 16, 2011. This photo is of the Alabama Air National Guard facility. From the Cloud Appreciation Society… The breaking waveforms of Kelvin-Helmholtz clouds are the result of shearing winds up at cloud level. A particular type of turbulence can develop in a layer of cirrus cloud, which happens to form below an inversion between air currents of differing speeds and/or directions. Sea waves break as their bases are slowed down upon reaching shallow water and their crests surge ahead. Cloud waves break in the same way: when their crests are pushed ahead of their troughs by the difference in air currents.
Last week, Birmingham, Alabama got treated to a special cloudy day, thanks to some Kelvin-Helmholtz waves, shown above. When a layer of faster moving fluid shears a slower moving fluid, this instability can form and cause some spectacular mixing. In this case, the lower, slower fluid was cool and moist enough to contain clouds, enabling us to see the effect with the naked eye. The same mechanism is responsible for the shape of breaking ocean waves and can even be seen in
Kelvin Helmholtz instability clouds over Birmingham, Alabama December 2011
Tsunami clouds in Alabama~ I guess it's not really art, but Nature is amazing.
These are Kelvin-Helmholtz waves! We can relate these waves in the sky to the waves in the ocean. Water waves form when the air above them is moving faster than the water below. When the difference between the wind and the water speed increases to a certain point, the waves “break” – meaning their crests lurch forward.
Not photoshopped!! Kelvin-Helmholtz Wave Clouds over Birmingham, Alabama.
