イザナギ (Izanagi) Izanagi is a deity born of the seven divine generations, the spouse and brother of Izanami. With her, they bore many islands, deities, and forefathers of Japan. When she died in childbirth, he tried to retrieve her from Yomi but he failed. In the cleansing rite after his return, he begot Amaterasu from his left eye, Tsukuyomi from his right eye, and Susano-o from his nose.
Japan: Amaterasu (meaning "shining in heaven"). Goddess of the sun, and the universe, in the Shinto religion and Japanese myth cycle. The Emperor of Japan is said to be a direct descendant of Amaterasu. ~ loved and pinned by http://www.shivohamyoga.nl/ #divine #goddess
Kamrusepas is the Hittite Goddess of healing and magic. She was able to cure paralysis and other illnesses, by unbinding the illness from the worshipper. When the fertility God Telepinu had left the world in a rage, resulting in widespread famine, it was Kamrusepas who was finally able to subdue his anger with her rituals. After calming him with honey and fruit, her magic captured and banished his anger to the underworld. (Artwork: Medb, by Livingrope)
