a neat place in Lauren's dream vacation spot! Dubai — Glass Balcony Pools at Aquaria Grande Residential Tower designed by James Law Cybertecture. What do you think about this idea? I think it's AMAZING! ♥ REPIN, LIKE, COMMENT & SHARE! ♥
Private pool that curves out and around the edge of your room's balcony. Useful when space is limited in a hotel hat does not have enough room to build a full-sized pool for holidaymakers. This is an unique idea I have never seen before.
#I hope this idea catches on. I know I'll likely never be able to afford a condo with a balcony pool, but hey, a boy can dream, right? It's still such a cool idea. Some of the other pool ideas are pretty neat, too. Share me!

Filip Dujardin a series of photos of the structural architecture of the improbable will have you see every detail search from details that basically makes no sense. Collection of photos of this unique property using the architecture give the title “Fictions“
Working with a set of photos of real buildings in and around Ghent, Belgium, and using digital collaging techniques, the photographer created a mind-dazzling collection of photos entitled “Fictions“.
Filip Dujardin is a strange sort of architectural photographer. He’s best known for pictures of buildings that don’t exist. Dujardin makes digital photo montages of impossible structures. In some, modernist buildings are stacked like towers of mislaid Jenga pieces, with cantilevered sections shooting out in every direction.
AP Ideas--At first sight, these images may seem normal to you, but on a second look, you will notice that they are structurally not plausible and not possible. Fine art and architectural photographer, Filip Dujardin digitally manipulates photos that he makes from real buildings in Belgium. What’s wrong, what’s missing? A game you can play with your children, who should greatly appreciate this fictional and utopian architecture.
Filip Dujardin Creates Escherian Fantasy Buildings Kevin Holmes February 16, 2012- At first glance, these images may seem normal but look again and you’ll notice they’re structurally implausible. In a series called Fictions, photographer Filip Dujardin takes photos of actual buildings in Ghent, Belgium, then digitally manipulates them to make amazing fantasy buildings—Escherian even—some of which are quite beautiful but all quite different, too.

I have just discovered the work of Kawahara Kazuhiko a Japanese Architect and photographer along with the Vortograph photography movement. Vortograph is the first completely abstract kind of photograph, it is composed of kaleidoscopic repetitions of forms achieved by photographing objects through a triangular arrangement of three mirrors. Alvin Langdon Coburn, a member of the Photo-Secession group and a pioneer in nonobjective photography, invented vortography in 1917 and remained the principal advocate and practitioner of the technique. So nothing is new!

Take a look at Simon Gardiner’s photo series “Upside Town“. Gardiner uses in his photo series the simple mirroring effect with a perspective twist, which gives the images a kaleidoscopic feel. He deconstructs and reconstructs the photographs for a new visual reality, which he calls deconstructivism photography.

A rare natural phenomenon turns one of Austria’s most beautiful hiking trails into a 10 meter-deep lake, for half the year. Located at the foot of the Hochschwab Mountains, in Tragoess, Styria, Green Lake is one of the most bizarre natural phenomena in the world. During the cold winter months, this place is almost completely dry, and used as a country park where hikers love to come and spend some time away from urban chaos.
But as soon as temperatures rise, the snow and ice covering the mountaintops begin to melt, and the water pours down, filling the basin below with crystal-clear water. Water levels go from one-two meters at most, to over 10 meters, in the early summer. The waters of Green Lake are highest in June, when this extraordinary place is invaded by divers, curious to see what a mountain park looks like underwater. Fish swimming over wooden benches, a grass-covered bottom, trees, roads, roads and even bridges create a surreal setting that feels like it belongs on dry ground. That’s because for half of the year, that’s exactly where it’s at. Take a look at the amazing images of the Green Lake, shot during the summer season:

Metropolis (1927) Like Blade Runner or David Cameron, Metropolis envisioned a stratified future where the poor were confined to ground level (or below!) while the rich swan about high in the clear air in palatial towers. But Fritz Lang’s film goes further, portraying the gardens of the rich as a sort of Eden and the machines at which the workers toil as literally demonic forces.

For decades now, scientists at the NOAA have been tracking a mysterious whale song that sounds like the ghostly howls of a drowned tuba player. The sounds have been identified as belonging to a single whale, who sings at a frequency unlike any other whale in the world. Dubbed "52 Hertz" after the frequency range in which he typically sings, the animal has been called the loneliest whale in the world, since his love songs seem destined to go unanswered.
The Loneliest Whale in the World. In 2004, The New York Times wrote an article about the loneliest whale in the world. Scientists have been tracking her since 1992 and they discovered the problem: ...her voice is unlike any other baleen whale. It is unique - while the rest of her kind communicate between 12 and 25hz, she sings at 52hz. You see, that’s precisely the problem. No other whales can hear her. Every one of her desperate calls to communicate remains unanswered.
This whale’s voice is different from other whales as he sings at 52 Hertz instead of other whales, which sing between 15 to 25 Hertz. As well as singing to his own tune, the lonesome whale also swims to his own migration route and does not follow the known migration route of any of his fellow extant baleen whales. As a result of his higher pitched song, no whales respond to his calls and as a consequence he has been swimming around in the big blue ocean alone for years.
