bamboo looks lovely in all seasons in the garden and makes a nice rustling sound in the breeze. However it is a good idea to contain it with a minimum 60cm depth plastic barrier sunk into the ground around the roots.
This is the Winter Jasmine. found mostly in Northern China, this flower is a brilliant yellow that is visible during the spring and winter seasons. It can survive with both full sun and partial shade, but does require some shelter.

Buddleias - Prune down to around 30cm (12 in) from ground level in March. There may already be sprouting shoots on the Buddleia in a mild spring. No matter - Prune it back hard. As well as this hard prune in the spring, it is also beneficial to prune off all the dead and faded flowers once the main flowering season is over. This will be of benefit to the plant - not having to produce seeds on the old flowers - and it will bloom again later on. Take off all of the dead flowers regularly,
