Christmas Food! Melting Snowmen Cookies #dessert #holiday #funny
Melted Snowman Cookies •1 package Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix •10 large marshmallows •Betty Crocker Cookie Icing (white and orange) •Wilton Decorating Icing Tubes in Black, Red, Green, Blue and Pink or make your own icing and color it Black, Red, Green, Blue, Pink & Orange Mix cookie mix according to directions, or prepare your favorite cut out sugar cookie recipe, then just grab a golf ball sized chunk and squish it down until it's about 1/4-1/2 inch thick. Do not worry about the shape or how lumpy it is, the more misshapen the better! Bake according to recipe directions. Once the cookies are cool, load them up with the cookie icing and spread it around with the back of a spoon, let some dribble over the edge for a "puddle" look. Spray a microwave safe plate with cooking spray, and place marshmallows on the plate. Set the microwave for 30 seconds, but watch the marshmallows as they cook. Stop the microwave as soon as the marshmallows start to get puffy, do not let them double in size. Spray your fingers with cooking spray or grease them up with shortening, and carefully pull the marshmallows off, by the base, and set them on top of the frosted cookies. Then just decorate as you'd like with the Wilton frosting, or your own homemade frosting!

Farm or Barnyard Birthday Party food idea, perfect for our menu little pig pies Piglets by Photo_by_Mel, via Flickr
These are cute, easy to make and fun to eat! Ingredients 1 (1 pound) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed2 teaspoons oil1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese1 (.75 ounce) package J&D’s Bacon Ranch dressing & dip mix 2 Tbsp melted unsalted butter Directions Roll bread dough into 1/2-inch-thick rectangle on lightly floured surface; brush with oil. Cut dough with sharp knife into 1x1-inch pieces.Toss bread dough pieces, cheese and J&D’s Bacon Ranch dressing mix in large bowl. Form the dough into a ball, place on wax paper, and flatten the bread with a rolling pin. Let rise until double in size. To make little piggies with the bread dough, use a cookie cutter to make large circles (the pig's head), a smaller cookie cutter to make smaller circles (the snout), and a small triangle shaped cookie cutter to make the ears. Use peppercorns to make the eyes and rosemary to make the snouts. Assemble into pigs as shown. Brush each piggy lightly with butter. Bake at 350 degrees F oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
piggy bread! cafechocolada.blogspot.com Want to make Piggy Bread yourself? Check out this darling recipe we found over at Café Chocolada. Ingredients to make about 20 piglets Dough: 13.5 oz all purpose flour 1 package instant dry yeast 1 egg 7 oz plain yogurt 3.5 oz warm milk a pinch of salt Puffed or flaky dough: 5.5 oz flour 3.5 oz magarine (unsalted) pinch of salt Filling: As much as you like: cheese, tomato (pizza) sauce, oregano (or something else you would like for filling) Wash: Egg white to use as adhesive Egg yolk and some milk to brush on at the end Instructions: •First, make dough by mixing all ingredients together, then let it rise in a warm place. •In the meantime, make puff dough with the second batch of ingredients. Then mix it into the risen dough (yes, mix them together). Work it well on a floured surface. •Roll the dough and with a round cookie cutter (or other round object) cut out circles about 3 inches in diameter. Leave some dough for ears and noses. •Make filling with cheese, tomato sauce (pizza sauce) and oregano. You can be creative and use different kinds of ingredients to make a filling of your own. You can also add ham or salami or vegetables. •Place half of circles onto a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper), brush the edges with the egg white wash. •Put some filling in the middle, cover with the other half of the circles, and press the edges to ensure nothing will come out while baking. •With the remainder of the dough, make much smaller circles for the nose. Then make some circles around 2 inches in diameter. Cut these in quarters for the ears. Use the egg whites as a an adhesive for the ears and nose. •For eyes and nostrils use a toothpick to make little lines and then inside, put cumin, pepper or something similar. •Now that you have little piglets, let them rise again for a little while. Then brush them with a little bit of egg yolk wash mixed with a little bit of milk. •Bake for about 20-25 minutes at about 385-405 degrees F. Our note: You can use some other kind of herb for the eyes if you are concerned about kids biting into peppercorns, or just warn your kids to pop out the yes before eating. We’d love to see pictures and hear your stories about how you’ve been inspired by one of our stationery items. Embarking on your own little baking adventure? Working on a décor project? They're called Slutty Brownies because they're oh so easy, and more than a little bit filthy. Thelondoner.me “They're best served warm from the oven, with good quality vanilla ice cream (devastatingly I didn't have any in the freezer this time, so I guess I'll just have to make them again). They take about 45mins to make, including baking time. The ultimate comfort food, whipped up within the hour. You will need... 1 Box of cookie mix, 1 Box of brownie mix, 2 Eggs, 2 Packs of Oreos (double stuffed ones are even better if you can find them) Some oil & your favourite ice-cream (optional) Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking tray with grease proof paper. Follow the instructions on the cookie mix box & stir furiously until you have gooey cookie dough, I usually add a little extra water and oil to what they suggest, it just keeps it moist as you'll be baking it for longer than suggested. An extra teaspoon of each is just right. Squidge (technical term) the cookie dough into a lined baking tray, until it covers the bottom. Cover this layer with your Oreos. Don't use the broken ones, eat them as you go. This recipe is too glorious to use substandard Oreos. Mix up your brownie batter, just stick to the recipe on the box for this one, & pour over your Oreos. Bake for 30mins. Remove from the oven and leave to cool. When it’s still a little bit warm, use the paper to lift your creation out of the tray and rest it on a chopping board. Use a large, sharp knife to cut it into manageable chunks, sections, slabs... depending on how many calories you think you can handle in one sitting. Drop onto a plate and scoop on your ice cream. Enjoy, and don't forget to lick the bowl! If you're feeling particularly domesticated, you could always make these with real cookie mixture and home made brownie batter, but as far as I'm concerned, life's just too short!”
The best ever!! Slutty Brownies: chocolate chip cookie dough, Oreos, brownie mix.

HMMM, I just happen to have frozen shredded hashbrowns in my freezer. Bird's Nest Breakfast Cups: 1 24 oz. bag of shredded hash browns 2 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 2 tbs oil (I use olive oil) 1/3 cup shredded cheddar Bacon bits or 8=10 pieces of cooked bacon, crumbled Eggs Extra shredded cheddar Muffin tin Take your bag of hash browns and mix in the salt, pepper, oil and 1/3 cup shredded cheese. Divide amongst the cups in your muffin tin, making sure to grease tin beforehand. Bake hash browns at 425 degrees for 15-18 minutes or until toasty. Once they're finished, take them out and lower the temp of the oven to 350 degrees. Crack an egg into each of the cups Top with bacon and a sprinkle of extra cheese Bake at 350 degrees for 13-16 minutes (or until the eggs are as firm as you like them). Slide a knife along the edges to remove from pan when cooled. Notes: I like to break the yolks in my eggs a bit once I put them into the hash brown cups When I cheat on these, I use the Oscar Meyer Bacon pieces found in the "salad dressing" section of the grocery store. They're the closest thing to fresh bacon I can find, and all-natural. :) You can also experiment with ham, sausage, and veggies to make them your own!
