Spinach-Cheese Balls 1/6/12 ... I overcooked them, but even if I hadn't I bet they still would have been like eating chalk. Very dry. Even the marinara didn't help much. Like the concept, wasn't a fan of the dish.
Jello shots 1/6/12 ... STRONG!! An entire CUP of vodka goes in each layer of Jello. Make sure to follow the instructions explicitly...I failed to do so for the first layer and it never set. The last two came out perfectly.
Birthday cake martinis for Bunco @Megan Gannon Howse!!! ... SO TASTY, and easy to go overboard on! LOTS of ingredients, and none of which I had on hand. Use a jigger to make your measurements because they get strong very quickly!
Individual 7-Layer Dips 1/6/12...just as precious in person as they look in the picture. Next time I make them I will have the loose toppings (tomatoes, olives, onions) already chopped and ready to top. Took longer than I wanted it to making them one at a time. Everyone said they were a hit!
Garlic Parmesan Pull-Apart Bread—bread infused with butter, garlic, herbs, and cheese. What's not to love?...REVIEW: didn't want to make the homemade bread so I used Pilsbury biscuits and it turned out very dry and not infused with the butter, garlic, herbs and cheese mixture. Fail.
3 Packet Pot Roast for the Crock Pot:1 3lb beef roast, 1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing mix, 1 pkg brown gravy mix 1 pkg Italian dressing mix , 1 cup water - cook on low 6-8 hrs...REVIEW: Yuck. Dry and tasteless.
Alton Brown's Mac & Cheese...REVIEW: I made this mac & cheese for a potluck at work and it is the BOMB! NOTE: do not put more cheese than the recipe calls for, it will compromise the taste and consistancy of the dish.
