"Fourthbook" is my twist on the exit ticket.  This is the board the first time I used it. Normally the question would be content-related. The cards are laminated sentence strips with peel & stick magnets on the back.  Students use dry erase markets to write their answers.

This SIOP activity is called, "The Frame Up." The topic is written in the center. In this lesson the topic was measurement. Then around the topic students write examples, definitions, and draw pictures. Students can work in pairs or small groups. Students then talk about their posters with the group.
