Kansas City, MO Officer Scott Caron on street patrol; arrives at the scene of a DUI along the freeway. Grandview, MO Officer Jim Wagner found a gun and knife in the vehicle. Officer Caron attempts to test the driver, but man is too intoxicated to participate. The suspect is an ex-police officer from Joplin; the suspect says it's very bad to drink and drive. He's transported in a paddy wagon to jail.

Working at KCPD affords us the opportunity to hear some really great dumb criminal stories. This one was caught on video! In an attempt to avoid detection before he stole copper from the air-conditioning unit at Imagine Renaissance Academy on July 2, 2011, 22-year-old male climbed the wall of the school, put his face right in the surveillance camera, and pointed it upward. Detectives immediately recognized him, and he's been charged with felony property damage and misdemeanor theft
