It helps sometimes to look at what you are doing from a different perspective. Although we enjoyed Nick Yee’s post 'Game Genre Map: The Cognitive Threshold in Strategy Games' in January, it had to simmer on the backburner for a while till we figured out not only why we liked it, but also some tentative ideas on how is it relevant for apps. Because it obviously is.
At the beginning of this year we were asked by DuKlaw Ventures to build them a simple, clean website focused on their core areas of expertise: helping innovation companies grow by combining mission critical IT resources, experienced leadership in key practice areas, training, education, strong IP technology resources, access to business opportunities and facilitating financing to help the innovation company with operating capital.
Our long time partners - DWTI - contacted us at the end of 2015 to discuss a full website re-design. Given the fact that they manage 13 data centers, 17 global POP’s, a full panoply of on-demand cloud services (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) and the support and backing offered by business partnerships and alliances (such as AT&T, IBM/Softlayer and QTS), you can gather that we had our work cut out for us.
