Verse of the Day: "Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed." --Proverbs 16:3 It's Monday--a new page in the planner, a new square on the calendar, and it's almost time to close out one month and start a new one. What a comfort it is to know that even if we don't get to check every box on the to-do list, that as long as we commit our plans to the Lord, we're already guaranteed to be successful! What's on your to-do list today?
Verse of the Day: Remember the phrase "Be kind, everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about"? We all have good days and bad days, whether that's with a job, an illness, finances, kids, relationships, or something else entirely--we've all got things on our mind. The world will be a better place when you and I wear mercy and love on our sleeve and act accordingly. "Clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness & patience" Col. 3:12
Verse of the Day: This is one of my favorite verses! God does not make empty promises to us! "Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!" --Luke 1:45
Verse of the day: Remember, the sun always comes out from behind the clouds. No matter how hard the situation is, it will always come to an end. "So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while." 1 Peter 1:6
Verse of the day: Pretty straightforward, don't you think? A good one to remember ourselves and to remind our kids of. "Do not be misled: 'Bad company corrupts good character'.” --I Corinthians 15:33
Verse of the day: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord..." -Joshua 24:15 I love the whole verse in context--we aren't bound by our heritage, our history, our past, or the decisions of others. We can CHOOSE to follow the Lord. We are free to make our own choices--just because something has always been done one way doesn't mean we always have to do it the same way. What choices are you making today to make the best decisions for yourself instead of following the crowd?
Verse of the Day: "Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge." --Proverbs 23:12 A heart that wants to learn and ears that hear wisdom...a recipe for success, and a great verse to pray over your kids for their days in school!
Verse of the Day: Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." --Matthew 19:26 What's possible in your life today?
Verse of the day: "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful..." --2 Timothy 3:16-17 I love this verse...no matter where I am or what I'm doing, whether I'm in church, talking to my kids, reading a book, reading the Bible itself, or even scrolling through Facebook--when I come across scripture, it's straight from God and it's useful. I think this is why we so often read a verse and think "I needed that today..." What about you? What verse is useful in your life today?
Verse of the Day: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." --Matthew 7:7 God already knows where you are and what you need. Today, you need to ask for His guidance, seek His will, and knock on the door. Take action and He will be there.
Every word God has set down is intentional and we can use it to learn, grow and redirect. It's how He equips us for our journey!
