Vincent Van Gogh Self Portrait Collage by Adam Asar

I’ve read books by moonlight in Paris, snorkeled by the light of the moon in Germany, and skied by moonlight on several Swiss and Austrian Mt.and sat on the edge of a lake watching the moon set and sun rise at the same time.. But nothing surpasses the sight of the full moon reflected in a placid body of water, backed by natural landscape features that provide their own character to the scene.

Cave to Canvas, John Atkinson Grimshaw, November Moonlight. Grimshaw is one of my favorite artists and one one of the finest painters of moonlight there has ever been. Even Turner was envious of his ability in this regard.
