12-Jul 1543 Catherine Parr married Henry VIII... Henry VIII married the twice widowed Catherine Parr, Lady Latimer, at Hampton Court Palace. It was a private ceremony in the Queen’s Closet (private chapel) within the palace’s Chapel Royal and was attended by just twenty or so courtiers, including the King’s daughters, his niece, Margaret Douglas, the Duke and Duchess of Suffolk, the Countess of Hertford, Viscountess Lisle and Catherine’s sister and brother-in-law, Anne and William Herbert.

Even though this series is done, it is still a favorite for me. I love reading and watching the intrigues of King Henry VIII. He was beyond words. This series is not completely historically correct, but you feel like you are there.
The Tudors. 2007 - 2010. King Henry VIII of England and his 6 wives. These were definitely not "the good old days". Jonathan Rhys Meyers also starred in the series "Dracula", but I didn't like it as much.
Not a movie, but one of my favorite tv shows
Double Standards on Cable Television // "Defenders of [nudity] claim it shows authenticity and artistic honesty, but the examples seen by audiences seem like anything but honesty. In The Tudors, which ran for four seasons, we barely got past the opening credits of the first episode before the ridiculously young Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (playing a middle-aged King Henry) and a female bit player began discarding royal clothing. The series wound up making Tudor England look like a nudist colony."

THE WHITE QUEEN (BBC, 1 season, 2013) is a dramatic-historical series written by screenwriter Emma Frost, inspired by the book series by Philippa Gregory, set in the War of the Roses, between the House of Lancaster and House of York, and the history of women caught in the conflict for the throne of England. The BBC announced that there would be renewed, according to the original plan, but later acknowledged that it was creating a sequel developed by Starz.
The White Queen from Starz It's a mini series, not a movie, but oh man, i want to see this!!!!

The Queen's Fool by Philippa Gregory is a 2004 historical fiction novel. Set between 1548 and 1558, it is part of Philippa Gregory's Tudor series. The story starts when a nine-year-old Hannah Green sees Thomas Seymour and Elizabeth flirting when she delivers books for her father. When asked why she seems surprised, she tells him she has seen a scaffold behind him. Seymour is executed within a year.

The Virgin's Lover by Philippa Gregory - the story of Queen Elizabeth as a young woman on the verge of assuming her throne full of ambition that exceeds that of her lover Robert Dudley and includes the perspective of his wife Amy Dudley...meticulous research characterizes all the works of this author but it truly stands out in this book...including the attempt to answer questions about an unsolved crime that has fascinated historians for centuries. intelligent romantic compelling another keeper!

One of my favorite books to re-read. The Other Boleyn Girl.
The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory. The Other Boleyn Girl is Mary Boleyn, sister to Anne Boleyn and mistress to Henry VIII.
The Other Boleyn Girl / Philippa Gregory ~ When Mary Boleyn comes to court as a girl of fourteen, she catches the eye of Henry VIII. Dazzled by the king, Mary falls in love with both her golden prince and her growing role as unofficial queen. However, she soon realizes just how much she is a pawn in her family's ambitious plots as the king's interest begins to wane and she is forced to step aside for her best friend and rival: her sister, Anne. [Book Club Bags include 8 books & reader's guide]
The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory... Really anything by Philippa Gregory is worth reading.
Just finished reading this book, The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory. It was a unique point of view from Mary Boleyn, rather than the typical Anne Boleyn's POV. I'm really into Tudor historical fiction books right now, and this one was really good!
