If kids come to us from strong, healthy functioning families, it makes our job easier. If they do not.....it makes my job tougher but not impossible.
If kids come to us from strong, healthy, functioning families, it makes our job easier. If they do not come to us from strong, healthy, functioning families, it makes our job more important.
Barbara Colorose said this. This is 100% true because the students in a urban standing who don't come from strong healthy functioning families they need our help the most. They need someone who cares about their education and well being because you might be the only one to help save or help them.

The Theory of Multiple Intelligences resulted in this chart. I discuss it more in my book! Re-Pinned by Penina Penina Rybak MA/CCC-SLP, TSHH CEO Socially Speaking LLC Director: The NICE Initiative for Female Entrepreneurship Website: niceinitiative.com Twitter: @PopGoesPenina Tumblr: The NICE Initiative http://niceinitiative.tumblr.com Book Blog: http://niceinitiativeblog.wordpress.com
Information about 7 types of intelligences and learning styles that go with them. Multiple intelligences and learning styles are very closely linked because your type of intelligence determines how your brain processes information best, and that is very important in learning new things.
Oddly enough, when I got Narcolepsy my learning style changed! I used to learn best by a combination of solitary, auditory, and social. Now I am definitely a visual learner. I wonder how other Narcoleptics learn best?
This site offers multiple intelligences Learning styles, this theory has emerged from recent cognitive research, which students possess different kinds of minds and therefore learn, remember, perform, and understand in different ways, which is support by Gardner (1943).
By learning about your "Learning Style" you can better prepare how to study and retain information. #collegebound #studytips #goodstudytips #learningstyles
To create a sense of community, teachers need to be #responsive of the different types of learners in the classroom. Every student learns differently, so teachers should create dynamic lesson plans that target multiple areas/styles of learning to accommodate all of the students in the class.
This post is the VARK model in brief that outlines different learning styles. The article goes into discussion about research that has been going on that proves that there could be up to 70 different learning styles. This information is important to know because it leaves opportunity to be aware that all students learn differently and they should be taught accordingly.
