    Prince William gave Kate a pair of Diana's favorite earrings, sapphire and diamonds that match her engagement ring. Kate opted to give the earrings a modern twist by having the studs remodeled to drop earrings.

    A silk taffeta ball gown with a deep ruffled silk flounce with a vibrant floral silk brocade motif, and a complimenting border at the decolletage. The lined bodice has a blind front hook and eye closure, is piped at the armscyes, and is trimmed in a pretty black French Chantilly lace at the neckline and sleeves. Piped at the directionally pleated waistband of the unlined skirt, with a deep polished cotton facing and a twill tape floor brush. Circa 1864.
