Re-evaluating Business After Heartbreak & Loss KDS: 042 | Kim Doyal
As I started getting settled last week and getting back to work (I'm back in full swing this week), I made a very conscious decision to start eliminating things that no longer serve me. That's as simple as unsubscribing from email lists, leaving Facebook groups, and snoozing or unfollowing people on social that are just distractions. Re-evaluating Business After Heartbreak
The Future of The WP Chick
Here we are my friends… the last week of September. Nothing like a change of seasons to bring about thoughts of change, right? Personally, I prefer a change in the fall as opposed to the first of the year (although that always feels good too). There’s something about the end of summer, leaves changing (eventually… it’s supposed to be in the 90’s again this week), and the end of the year looming that makes me feel like going within and re-evaluating.
Stop waiting for permission to succeed
Investing in yourself and your business is smart, it shows you’re committed. stop waiting for others to give you permission to succeed. #blogging #blogs #workathome #bossbabe
It Doesn't Have To Be Hard: Stupid Easy
Hard to believe we’re literally two weeks away from Christmas. TODAY. I’m actually in pretty good shape… I got some wrapping done yesterday (while enjoying season 2 of The Crown)and am just about done shopping.
Quit Waffling And Say Yes
I’ve literally been sitting here staring at my monitor for about 5 minutes waiting for some inspiration or wit to enter my brain and still… I got nothin. Which is really for one reason only. I’m sleepy.
When Your Customer Tells You What They Want
Do your customers tell you what they want? And more importantly, are you listening? Being open to what you want to create for your customers and listening to what they want and then creating that is vitally important to your business. Fortunately, our customers have told us exactly what they want and here’s how we’re listening.
Facebook Pontificating …Enough Already
It’s been a while since I’ve felt the need to rant. We’ll see how much of a rant this becomes (and I may be contradicting my own subject line, that’s fine), but I need to get it off my chest. AND… the truth is, my opinion on these types of posts varies depending on my mood (tell me I’m not the only one who feels this way), but for the most part, it’s getting really, really old.
If I Were Starting Over…
I was watching a video this morning about advice to college grads (yes, it was a GaryVee video) and it got me thinking about what I would do if I were starting over (sidenote: if you’ve never done this exercise, it’s fascinating. It’s also a great place to start whenever you’re feeling stuck. How I answer this question today is very different than how I answered it 5 years ago). I can’t really go back to when I was in my early twenties because the internet as we know it today didn’t even exist
Live Interview with Troy Dean of WP Elevation
It feels a little crazy to me that this was the first time I’ve done a live stream with Troy. We’ve done a few podcast interviews over the years and I thought it was high time we did a live stream. And of course, it was a blast. One of my favorite things I love about talking with Troy is that we also get into the mindset side of things and this live stream was no different. We talked about the mindset shift that needs to happen when you’re scaling a business (perception is everything...
Beaver Builder Template, Love It!
The deeper and deeper I get into content and creating, the less patience I have for things I used to love. Bear with me, this will probably resonate with many of you. I still love checking out new tools, apps, plugins, etc., but it’s not as fun as it used to be. I have my morning routine while I’m having my coffee ( a few sites I like to check out, things I subscribe to and read), then I get on with my day.
Blogging & Content Marketing: Don’t Call it A Comeback
Yep, that’s LL Cool J. That was the first thing that popped into my head when I thought of this post title. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, LL Cool J has a song called ‘Mama Said Knock You Out”, where he starts off singing “Don’t call it a comeback… I’ve been here for years.” I won’t go into more lyrics here because they’re not super applicable, but I’ve noticed this trend since the beginning of the year.
Content Comeback
Hopefully, that headline didn’t cue up LL Cool J’s song “don’t call it a comeback” for you the way it did for me (although if you’re familiar with that song it’s quite possible this intro did 😉 ).
The Future Of My Business & The Kim Doyal Show | Kim Doyal
I'll get into that when I talk about the future of the show, but before I go there, I need to bring you up to speed with what has happened in my business in general in the last couple of months and then we can talk about where things are heading. #podcast The Future of My Business
Funnel Me This
Bear with me, after my ‘Oh for funnels sake’ headline all of a sudden I feel this need to come up with kitschy headlines when I write about funnels. This could be an interesting series. 😉
