Felt Brooch: "Bubbly" (Black Felt, Bubble Wrap, Glitter Paint, Pin Stem - designed and created by Karen J Lauseng).
Art Doll: "Purple People Eater" (Plastic Coated Wire - designed & created by Karen J Lauseng). "Oh the Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss is my favorite book of all time. This doll represents my interpretation of what happens in the Waiting Pace. She has taken waiting to the extreme. Having spent so much time waiting for the phone to ring, she has grown antennas in place of ears. She is stuck! "Purple People Eater" was a contest design winner and appeared in Art Doll Quarterly in 2016.
Paper Mache Art Doll: "Animal Totem" (porcupine quills, deer antlers fur, cow ears, horse hoofs, copper, crystal, buttons, fossil - designed and created by Karen J Lauseng). Fascinated by native American culture, Deer Woman was the major influence for this Doll. She is a shape-shifting woman in Native American mythology who can appear as an old woman, a young beautiful maiden, or a deer. "Animal Totem" was a design challenge winner and published in Art Doll Quarterly in 2016.
