Pinner said: Spring is coming and this is the BEST Weed Spray. I made 3 gallons for around $4.00 last year after seeing a pin. Worked better than Round Up & killed the weeds/stray grass on first application. One gallon of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, 1/2 c table salt, 1 tsp Dawn. Mix and pour into a smaller spray bottle. (you can purchase 3 gallon size Apple Cider Vinegar in the canning section of a good hardware store - cheap!)
toilet paper rolls -Seed starters: With a pair of scissors, cut four vertical strips that end halfway down the length of the roll. Then, fold each strip down so they rest on the inside of the roll, overlapping each other slightly to form the bottom of the pot. Fill the tube with moist soil and plant directly. Sow one seed per roll.
Disney world does this! Lowes sells the 4 to 6" round PVC pipe with holes already drilled. Purchase an end cap, fill with rock, soil, and plant. I will often put these in the center of a very large pot to stabilize, and add amazing height and color to a container that has trailing plants (no end cap or rock needed if you are placing in a container)
