Your students will be engaged with this common core-aligned activity. Students will work in pairs to analyze 8 propaganda posters from World War I. The posters are from several different countries (The U.S. , France, Britain, Germany, Russia and Austria-Hungary). A power point introduction to propaganda and “Total War” is included. At the end of each World History unit, have every student create a drawing of what they believed to be the "big idea" of that unit. Have the class vote on which drawing best depicts the unit and have the winning student draw their picture again on the "Big Ideas of WH" board in the classroom. @Krysta Lindsay Craiker this is a cool idea...sort of like one pagers...maybe for each subject??
