Here is my stamp, ink and cutting area. I have a shelf on top that is my media area, with a tv, dvr and ipod docking player. The storage units for my stamps are 2 closet units I got at Menards. One is just shelves and it holds all my wood mount stamps and my cutters. The other is a 4-drawer unit and it holds my cling mount stamps. The tops make a perfect cutting station and I have my ink pad storage units there. I wallpapered the back wall to match some other areas in the room.
Here is a front view of the desk in my room. I wanted to show how just adding some paint can transform an old desk or dresser into something that looks very fresh. This was one of those old 70s or 80s dressers...the white with gold brush marks on it and gold accents. I went thru so much white spray paint doing this room! I literally sprayed everything on it, even the handles. I store all my things I need close at hand, like scissors, glue, stamp cleaning pads, etc in these drawers.
Here is my desk, chair and settee. The desk is an old desk from a girl's bedroom set. It had a hutch on it, which I put to good use elsewhere. I wanted my desk to face the tv area so I could watch tv while working. The chair is a lyre back chair. I found 2 at a thrift store and painted them white and covered them in my black & white toile material. The settee is a new piece, from Target online. I knew it would go so well in the room and I wanted something to sit on to watch tv.
Here is the settee, desk area of my craft room. I have since finished my small pillows I have on the settee. They are made from the same pink & white chenille bedspread that the bench cover is made from.
Here is a bench with storage drawers that I picked up at Goodwill. I made the curtains out of the same black and white toile fabric I used elsewhere in the room. The bench seat is foam pads covered with a pink and white vintage chenille bedspread fabric.
I have 2 My Fair Lady framed pictures.well, they are actually vinyl album artwork. It goes so well with my room and the Audrey Hepburn quote and book. Such a simple way to create fun and cool artwork for a room.
So what to do with the records once you use the album covers for something else.well, I mounted mine on the wall for an interesting display
This was a closet that I turned into my office space. I have my computer and desk in here. I used the same material I covered my lyre back chairs to make a curtains for the window and a "door" for this room. I also covered an old rolling office chair with this material and material from an old chenille bedspread. The whole room is wallpapered in a black and white damask.
