YMHA Family Camp Weekend - Milford, PA - June 14-16, 2002
DIY climbing wall My hubby did this for our kids in the backyard. I bought the rock wall grips on eBay and the the ply bored is 3/4" that is 4 foot by 8 foot, we purchased from Lowes. We painted it with Restore (for decks) and screwed it into our home. Also when we installed the hand grips we cocked the holes with silicone to keep the wood from rotting out. A pretty simple project that my kiddos and our neighbor kiddos are loving!
Downloadable Tree House Plans
Inspired by our weekend adventure, we’ve been dreaming of having a home office in a tree house. We found some downloadable plans (even one for novices) so now all we need is a backyard and a big ol’ tree:Our very favorite it the San Pedro Treehouse. It’s basically the classic one tree tree house. You can download plans for a 50 square foot tree house that you build in around 14 days. The download only costs $29 and it walks you through each step of the process.
Plan 504233 - Play Structure
: Besides being a real treat for the kids, this play unit can go with you when you move. It’s made from five components that you build beforehand, then assemble with lag bolts. (This one went up in six hours.) All platfors are 4 x 4’ squares of 5/8” plywood over 2 x 4 framing. Posts are 4 x 4s resting on concrete piers. Plan 504233
