Indian (Mogul) tabar / axe, 18th century. probably from Central India. The haft is 20 1/2 inches long. The crescent blade is heavy, 5 inches point to point ending in an antelope head all forged in steel. All parts are decorated with silver koftgari work. The blade is riveted to the shaft.
