Battleship Texas (BB-35)

Battleship USS Texas the last survivor of the Dreadnought Era (although not the last dreadnought). The ship is a century old and badly in need of funding for restoration and dry-berthing. The ship's structural integrity is becoming a critical concern.

1944 USS battleship Texas. Originally launched in 1912 by Harris & Ewing. She is now a historic landmark & attraction in La Porte, TX.

Dreadnought era battleship USS Texas late in showing the massively enhanced anti-aircraft armament carried at that stage of the war by capital ships of all navies. She is preserved in Galveston, Texas. Incorrect, shes docked in La Porte, Texas.
