James Butler Hickok (1837-1876), better known as "Wild Bill" Hickok, was a skilled gunfighter, gambler, and lawman. Hickok went west at age 18, first working as a stagecoach driver, then as a lawman in the frontier territories of Kansas and Nebraska. He fought (and spied) for the Union Army during the American Civil War. After the war he was a scout, marksman, actor, and professional gambler. He was involved in several notable shootouts before being killed while gambling.
Eliot Ness (April 19, 1903 – May 16, 1957) was an American Prohibition agent, famous for his efforts to enforce Prohibition in Chicago, Illinois, and the leader of a legendary team of law enforcement agents nicknamed "The Untouchables".
