I like this idea! Start the year w/an empty jar & fill it with notes about good things that happen. Then on New Years Eve, empty it & see what awesome stuff happened that year. Good way to keep things in perspective. Try for first year of marriage
Christmas Eve gift box (they get to open it on Christmas Eve)! They get new pjs (to wear that night), a Christmas movie, hot chocolate, snacks for the movie, etc. We already do pjs and slippers as our Christmas Eve gift but this is even better!
write a letter to your child on her first day of kindergarten (can do each year) give it to her at the end of senior year. What an awesome idea! // This idea is brilliant and so is the whole back to school party after the link.
Have family and friends write messages on balloons and mail them for a birthday surprise. (Instruct everyone to blow up the balloon, write a message, sign it, deflate it, and mail. This way they have to inflate the balloon to read the message)
