Daughters of Demeter
Inspiration for my story "Daughters of Demeter" published in Eternal Haunted Summer. Autumn Equinox Issue. September 2012…
Mythological OTPs → Hades and Persephone …a chasm opened in the earth and out of it coal-black horses sprang, drawing a chariot and driven by one who had a look of dark splendor, majestic and beautiful and terrible. He caught her to him and held her close. The next moment she was being borne away from the radiance of earth in springtime to the world of the dead by the king who rules it.
HADES & PERSEPHONE "Persephone caught the eye of Hades, god of the underworld. In one moment she was swallowed up in the ground and taken in Hades' rush of love, cursed to forever be caught between the land of the living and the world of the dead." –Ovid, Metamorphoses, Book 5 ....... The mating of Hades And Persephone is such a primal story, filled with conquest, hunger, desperation, and love … Original : Frederic Leighton
Persephone was gathering flowers one day on a plain in Sicily. Hades suddenly appeared, thundering across the plain in his four-horse chariot. The god swooped down upon Persephone, scooped her up with one arm, and literally and figuratively deflowered her—leaving the plain scattered with blossoms of every color. #myth
