Labyrinths look like brain. I always thought they're loved by brainy people .. :) The Labyrinth at The Edge, a mountain retreat in Hogsback in the Eastern Cape, is an eleven circuit Labyrinth, similar in design to the Chartres Cathedral Labyrinth in France, and displays one of the most elaborate Labyrinth designs. The Labyrinth which was completed in 2002, it's one of the world's largest.

Traquair House Maze was planted in 1981 and is one of the largest hedged mazes in Scotland covering over half an acre and it is 1/4mile to reach the centre. Designed by a Traquair craft worker, John Schofield, the maze has an intriguing layout with no dead ends and the visitor must reach four sub centres before coming to the centre. upload.wikimedia....

Russborough House maze in Ireland. Designed by Adrian Fisher and Randall Coate. Really very tricky - nice work. The diamond shape at the centre reflects the fact that the House owners were in the diamond trade.

How extraordinary, a mosaic tiled maze! "Visitors walk in a maze during alarge party for the 9th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities of the People's Republic of China, Sept. 15, 2011 in Guiyang, China. (Feng Li/Getty Images)"

An unusual Egg shaped maze. The Duke of Varmland Maze, Saby, Sweden, designed by Adrian Fisher. Actually this image is upside down. The other way up a tree is visible with adam and eve either side. Its heavy with symbolism, including an eagle and a serpent. Its a typical Fisher design though interestingly the maze differs in subtle ways from his original paper design (ref: secrets of the maze by Adrian Fisher)

The Richardson Farm has a number of large corn mazes, but the fairy tale castle is perhaps the most…enchanting. The mazes change annually, and this castle is now closed, but it’s thrilling to view regardless.

This water maze is beautiful when filled with rainwater. It is distinctive because it is a Chartres Maze. This special type of maze is based upon Christian mythology, and it features a clear cross-like symbology (at right, below) which the believer is meant to walk in a particular pattern
