Pennsylvania's largest union is putting its weight behind Tom Wolf for governor.Also getting the AFL-CIO's nod was Dan Lavallee, who is campaigning for the third district seat held by retiring U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Butler.

After beating Matt Ryan in the primary for Pennsylvania’s third Congressional District, Dan LaVallee was officially endorsed by Ryan today. Ryan is a veteran who runs a small business in Cranberry Township.

LaVallee, a first-time candidate for public office, lives in Cranberry Township in Butler County. A former deputy director for America's Health Insurance Plans, LaVallee has criticized Kelly for supporting the government shutdown, opposing a hike in the minimum wage and supporting "bad trade deals."

Middle class families are struggling, and he thinks that Washington politicians are doing a good job.
The candidate challenging Republican Congressman Mike Kelly gets a big endorsement. Ironworkers Local Union Number Three is endorsing Democratic Dan Lavallee. 25-hundred members make up the union. Lavallee is the only person left on the democratic side to run against the incumbent. Union leadership says they made the endorsement because of Lavallee's commitment to working class values.
