The human heart stripped of fat and muscle

"The human heart stripped of fat and muscle with just the angel veins exposed." I am so fascinated by this! :) Up my alley. It reminds me of when my friends and I went to the Mutter Museum in Philadelphia. But, what are angel veins? I don't remember them in any of my science classes.
Rob Jones - Anatomical Heart, 2007 A human heart stripped of all fat and muscle, leaving just the angel veins exposed. The blood is replaced by a plastic substance, filling all of the veins, capillaries, etc. The heart is then put into a solution that dissolves all the remaining tissue, leaving this incredible detail behind. BEAUTIFUL.
This is a human heart without any cardiac muscle or fat, it's just the blood vessels. In my gross anatomy class I also saw a set of lungs like this. :-) so cool!!!!
“The human heart stripped of fat and muscle, with just the angel veins exposed.” How can human anatomy NOT be beautiful?!
human heart stripped of fat and muscle, with just the angel veins exposed ~ Yes I put this on my inspire board because it reminds me just how beautiful the heart is

Milk Brother / Moka Milk Frother by Po-Chih Lai -

quiet-design: Milk Brother by Po Chih Lai.
Milk Brother is used to create hot milk foam via an intermediary middle valve. Hot milk foam generally relies on steam pressure which normally requires a pump, this pot employs an additional area where steam is stored under pressure – ready to be used for frothing milk. The combination of milk frother and moka pot provides a concise concept for a simple, integrated and lightweight solution which continues in the spirit of the original product.
The Milk Brother / Moka Milk Frother is inherited from the moka pot, also known as a macchinetta (literally “small machine”) or “Italian coffee pot”, a stove top coffee maker which produces coffee by passing hot water pressurized by steam through ground coffee. Moka pot was first patented by inventor Luigi De Ponti for Alfonso Bialetti in 1933. Bialetti Industrie continues to produce the same model under the name “Moka Express”.

the Le Corbusier Concrete Chair was designed by architect Stefan Zwicky
Le Corbusier Concrete Armchair / Stefan Zwicky Patio furniture? But I think this would be awesome in a grey suede or leather distressed to look like concrete.
This Le Corbusier inspired concrete armchair was designed by architect Stefan Zwicky. It was constructed out of concrete “cushions” with a metal rebar frame. It was obviously meant for outdoor seating.

Bolle Bottles by Tapio Wirkkala, Luminaire "Master craftsman create each bottle by hand ensuring a seamless connection between the varying sections. Designed by Tapio Wirkkala in 1968, this series of five bottles employs the "inclamo" technique wherein two different types of glass, worked separately, are fused together to obtain, within a single object, separate areas differentiated by color. This technique was developed and perfected by the master glass workers at Venini."

Decorative Objects: Venini's Bolle vases | 1968 Decorative Objects: Paolo Venini (1895 – 1959) emerged as one of the leading figures in the production of Murano glass and an important contributor to twentieth-century design.
via bloesem blog: "I couldn’t resist showing you these extraordinary vases by Tapio Wirkkala. In the mid sixties Tapio designed these vases for Venini. The series was called ‘Bolle’. Tapio used a technique in which he combined two molten masses of different colored glass. The result is stunning!"
