There are several abnormalities with the skull of the Starchild. The orbital cavities are oval and shallow, with the optic nerve canal located at the bottom of the cavity instead of at the back. There also seams to be no frontal sinuses and the back of the skull is flattened, but apparently not by any artificial means.
