"Challenge capsules" for students who finish early-- keep those high achievers moving. I love the choice/surprise element here. It makes it a privilege, not a punishment. If we make sure the activities aren't just more of the same, this is great idea!
This lesson plan / activity is designed to challenge students to listen closely to directions and complete tasks in the correct locations on a grid. In this activity students listen to the teacher read a story. The students follow directions in the story to move their pencil around a grid. As the story is read students draw different pictures in the grid that are described in the reading.This lesson has a total of 8 pages and includes an answer sheet.
