This New Zealand / University of Auckland article calls for a national mandate for organizations to work in collaboration towards ending domestic violence. This idea of a national edict would absolutely make the relationship between domestic violence organizations a formal one (factory lens). The paper calls for established written agreements for aims and objectives (factory and symbolic lenses). #500_11	#ILcollaboration	#lrcusc #DVkiwi

#2 Found this article that addresses a collaboration theory using the Strategic Alliance Formative Assessment Rubric (SAFAR). The abstract says it is a four step evaluation process that uses central principles of collaboration (quantitative and qualitative) to measure the collaborative effort over a period of time. However, I currently only have the abstract and will need to find a way to obtain the full article. #500_11	#ILcollaboration	#lrcusc # SAFAR

I am looking at ways to learn more about the collaborative planning process for countering domestic violence in the community. I found an interesting article that is from India and was modeled after a program in Germany. Though I am not looking to go international for comparisons, this article might offer some unique insights in a country that is struggling with the prevention of violence towards women. #500_11	#ILcollaboration	#lrcusc #internationalDV

I think our society has a problem if we don’t naturally respect our service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice. However, for those that don’t (Westboro Baptist Church) - we should have laws in place to prevent them from terrorizing families at burials. There are limits to free speech and our laws should reflect that the majority finds the actions of Westboro offensive and not protected speech. #500_07 #ILproblemdef #lrcusc #dotherightthing
