From Teaching in Room 6: A quick and simple idea to get your students cleaning the classroom. Count down for 60 seconds. By the time I get to 10, the students begin heading back to their seats. When I reach 0, they are all sitting with their hands folded. There are only two rules: Everyone helps. No talking.

Enokson has created for us a kind of road map containing all the major critical thinking skills we need to know about. He put these skills into an image that you can download from Flicker. I have, however, took his image and turned it into an infographic-like embeddable HTML code to use on your website or blog. Check the code below if you want to embed it on your blog but please if you are to use this link anywhere else online make sure to pay credit to Enokson.

"Here We Go Loopty Loo": Countdown to the end of the year! I like the lists that people have started in the comments, particularly the "yearbook" idea, super cute!

Last 20 days of school, each balloon has a special activity. Everyday you pop one balloon to find out what it is! (ex. sit wherever you want for the day, picnic lunch outside, paint outside, sidewalk chalk messages to the neighborhood, make a card for next year's students, work with no shoes, listen to music during a subject) this is such a fun idea!!!!
cool idea for the end of the school year - have 20 balloons hanging in the room that have a fun idea inside (sit anywhere you want) and pop one each day until end of year - kids would love this!
Going out with a BANG! Last 20 days of school... each balloon has a special activity. Everyday you pop one balloon to find out what it is! (work without shoes on, eat lunch in the classroom, switch seats day, etc.) other ideas from Here we go Loopty Loo
The last 20 days of school - balloon pop! While inflating the ballons insert a piece of paper inside that has a special activity written on it. Each day pop one balloon at the end of the day and do a fun activity with your class. :)
Last week of school idea. Each balloon has a special activity for the day. ex: Sit anywhere in the room with your friends!
This is a classroom idea that could be really fun for homeschool. Could fill the balloons with different activities or subjects to study. Might use this to start out this next school year with a bang! :) Classroom idea: Last 20 days of school! each day, pop a balloon and kids get to do that activity (take shoes off, extra recess, etc)
