This app is cool because it lets the students know when they are being too loud. This looks more childish, but it could definitely be beneficial in older grades as well because they can monitor themselves without the teacher having to direct them as much.

My Mouth is a VOLCANO!!!

A simple craft to use at the beginning of the year after reading the book, My Mouth is a Volcano by Julia Cook!

Wrinkled Ralph is an anti-bullying or name calling lesson I do with my students during a class meeting. I ask the kids to tell me put downs/names they've heard other kids say on the playground. After writing them all down, I crumble Ralph up and then try to smooth him out. He's not the same.
