This would be great in my yard this summer! We did this in our front yard on each side of the door. I used terra cotta orange 12" pots for the base and 8" pots on top. Looks so cute and unique! I love them! I planted blue and white petunias in them to contrast the orange. :)
Frozen Splash of Color: This is a really fun and unexpected way to decorate a birdbath for winter. Based on a French floral design technique called pavé, the one-dimensional arrangement is composed of natural ingredients squeezed close together, then frozen in place with water. In this example, there are kumquats, polished stones, cranberries and pepper berries.
Create a haven for wildlife this winter. Plant natives that offer food (acorns, berries, seeds). Clean and fill birdbaths regularly. Provide cover by starting a compost pile of pine needles, pinecones, pumpkins, and wreaths from your holiday decorations.
