Tuna / Tuna is one of the most talked-about fish on the endangered species list. Many populations are in decline or collapse.

If you'd like to eat tuna, choose line-caught Canadian or U.S. Pacific varieties. Bigeye, Tongol, or Yellowfin tuna are good alternatives if they are troll or pole caught with a fishing line (avoid them if they're not line-caught). Also avoid Albacore, Skipjack, and any canned tuna that isn't caught with a troll or pole method.

Bluefin tuna is near extinction - don't eat it!
