Two-piece dress, 1890s. Woven silk & lace. Fitted bodice & skirt of black silk cloque (which means "blistered"), with white satin pleated neck insert & lace collar. Bodice has an assymetric neck insert of pleated white silk satin and a lace collar. Collar on insert is high & boned, and there is a tiny bow at lower left corner of neckline insert. Sleeves are slightly puffed at upper arm and fitted below the elbow. Skirt is flared and floor-length. Drexel Univ. Costume Collection
