For this Grandmother of the in her 80's, I applied a thin layer of CC cream/foundation, powder blush, blonde eyebrow pencil, brown mascara and berry lipstick. No eyeliner, eyeshadows or contouring, to keep it simple and not overwhelm this lovely lady who was a little nervous in the makeup chair. Tauranga December 2015. Grey hair doesn't mean it's over. Yasmina Rossi is proof. She's a professional model, discovered after her hair went grey! But she also has an amazing-looking body, bone structure etc, and could pass for much younger (especially in this photo)! So if you're grey, what else do you have going on? Age is to be respected, not ridiculed. As you grow older, remember age is what gives antiques their value. Be proud if you've been around a long time. ;-)…
Carmen Dell’Orefice (Born June 3, 1931) is 80 years old right now. She is the oldest model in the world modeling for the last 66 years, placing herself in the Guinness Book of World Records! Yes this photo is probably air-brushed to heck but isn't she stunning!!? I'm always talking about age-appropriate makeup over on my facebook page. Come join the discussion.
Mature women can still wear colour! But there's such a thing as 'too much' or looking 'too young' for your age (if you know what I mean). How to wear colour and still look efortless is what I teach in my makeup consultations.
