Great quote by a great man
She's a grand old flag, She's a high flying flag, And forever in peace may she wave. She's the emblem of, The land I love, The home of the free and the brave. Every heart beats true, For the red, white, and blue, With never a boast or a brag. Should old aquaintence be forgot Keep your eye on the grand old flag.
Let us never forget the America that was and still should be. God Bless America!

After arriving at the funeral home, Katherine Cathey pressed her pregnant belly to her husband’s casket, moaning softly. Two days after she was notified of Jim’s death in Iraq, she found out they would have a boy. Born on December 23, 2005, he was named James Jeffrey Cathey, Jr.

Today and always we remember those who lost their lives fighting to defend freedom and also those who never got to see their little ones born, such as Lt. James J. Cathey whose pregnant wife, Katherine Cathey, is depicted below in a photo taken by Pultitzer Prize Winning photojournalist Todd Heisler. Her baby was due Jan 1, 2006 but her husband died in an explosion in Iraq on August 21, 2005.
Sad story of a expecting wife as she deals with her husbands death. We give so much for our spouse.
