Only about one in 100 million lobsters are albino - lacking in colored pigments. These are also referred to as "white" or "crystal" lobsters due to their metallic appearance.

Snowflake, the ONLY KNOWN albino gorilla. Lived at the Barcelona Zoo from 1964-2003.

✯ Snowflake, the only albino gorilla ever observed. Captured from the wild by poachers in 1967, Snowflake lived out most of his life at the Barcelona zoo. He died at the ripe old age of 40 due to skin cancer, probably related to his albinism. He outlived all of his 22 children, none of whom were albino, but lived to see his many grandchildren - a rarity for gorillas.✯

White Fella. Migaloo, the Aboriginal word for ‘white fella', is the only known all-white humpback whale in the world. Marc had photographed him at sea level but knew the way to get the perfect portrait would be from the air. "I clicked the shutter as Migaloo took one last breath and disappeared like a giant ghost into the depths." Photo: Marc McCormack / Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2011
