Used your Cat in The Hat Seed book too . We did this with TickleMe Plants and the whole entire school loved it. TickleMe Plants will move by closing their leaves and lowering their branches when the kids tickle it. Find a TickleMe Plant Greenhouse or classroom set on line. Your family or kids will never forget the plant that moves, started in a glove!

Use eggshells to plant seeds in the classroom. Then crack and transfer right to the ground. Super earth-friendly idea for April :)

I grew all of my herbs in these this summer, along with a couple of hot pepper plants. Because the dirt heats so fast (much like in a raised bed), the plants responded beautifully. I grow herbs indoors every winter and have always had them in pots. These might not be the most beautiful, but they work wonderful and take up less space than a typical planter pot would.

I forgot to mention that I drilled a small hole and inserted a boba straw all the way thru to the bottom before adding dirt etc. I add the water by using a funnel thru the straw. This way, the water is always in the bottom of the bottle and the roots/dirt are essentially self watering when they need the moisture. All I do is make sure that there's always a supply of water in the bottom for it to feed from.

Better Homes & Gardens | Garden Baskets Add some garden baskets, typically used for plants and flowers on porches, to your nursery or children’s room to hold toys and stuffed animals. Keeping them lower to the floor will allow easy access for tiny tots. You could leave the baskets as they are, or spray paint them to match your décor. It also works as an accessories organizer in the bedroom for scarves or baseball caps, or add a few to your classroom or home office for additional wall storage
