4 myths about organic farming: In the responses to my article on organic myths, I have been called an industrial shill, liar, and an organic hater. People have questioned my motives, saying I am a bioengineer or paid by Monsanto*. They have called for my head, or at the very least, the retraction of my article.
USDA Organic is a meaningless standard: organic pesticides are as toxic and used more frequently than conventional

Mythbusting 101: Organic Farming > Conventional Agriculture. 95% of surveyed consumers buy organic food because they think it is pesticide free. Organic farmers can legally use pesticides labelled as ‘organic’ or 'natural,’ but nearly half of the natural pesticides used in the US are illegal and deemed unsafe in Europe.

Food Labeling, and What You Should Know (GMO foods, MSG, and DV%) MSG is actually a neuro-toxin. Our bodies become acustomed to it, but after cutting it out, you notice you get hit with these reactions after having it again. MSG can be found in other ingredients, as well, so be careful #youalreadyknow #foodlabeling #organic #GMOs #MSG #infographic #101

Organic food works for me at so many levels - logically, spiritually, my sense of balance. Our present manufactured chemically and energy dependent food affronts my senses. We need to break away from this system and find a more just food supply - organic, local and fair. Check out http://www.ewg.org/foodnews/summary/ for a list of the pesticides on fruits and vegetables and which ones to choose.

Tell Sri Lanka- Don't Donate Elephant Tusks to Religion | The gov't in Sri Lanka has plans to give 359 illegal elephant tusks fm 100s of butchered elephants to a Buddhist temple. Disgusting! Buddhist leaders should refuse them & encourage protection of elephants, as many are killed to satisfy religious needs & people sell them for money. Buddhist leaders should not be the winner by getting these tusks w/o paying for them. These tusks should be destroyed. Plz SIGN/share petition. Thx
