A diamond necklace, circa 1900 The front of scrolling design set with single and old brilliant-cut diamonds, the largest to the centre, the whole suspending three knife-edge bars collet-set at intervals with single-cut diamonds and each terminating with either an old brilliant or a pear-shaped diamond, to a knife-edge bar back-chain collet-set at intervals with single-cut diamonds, principal diamonds approx. 0.50ct. and 0.85ct., remaining diamonds approx. 1.40ct. total, length 38.5cm.
Fabrege. This is one of the most spectacular Siberian Aquamarine jeweled pins designed by Faberge. It is in the motif of a thistle, the stem and leaves are paved in diamonds with the Aquamarine as the flower. Russians were proud to wear gems mined from their own mountains.
