Saturday, May 2nd Tracy McBride (photo center), past president of the El Rito Public Library announced the launch of Red Rock Studio Tours at her adobe home in Abiquiú before a gathering of local area artists, friends and supporters.  McBride is extending an invitation  to guests to accompany her on tours of off-the-beaten-path studios of prominent area artists as well as experiencing the visual feast of northern New Mexico enchanting landscapes. Von Bock Farm in Abiquiú, New Mexico took extra steps to protect apple blossoms by applying Frost Shield, an organic micro-thin protein pro-polymer when mixed with water and sprayed hours prior to freezing temperatures provides a permeable protective coating on plants, trees, vines and fruits. A devastating frost April 14th thru the 16th in most of northern New Mexico obliterated a substantial portion of the area's  fruit crop.   The trees were planted 20 years ago.
