"My whole career has been one of extreme good fortune. I think I'm an average actor ... In acting you can do something and maybe ... some people think it's fine, but you know inside of you that it can be done better ... You don't feel that you really attained a goal in the acting business; you always feel that you're still learning."

Classic Hollywood Movie Legend, Cary Grant, Born January 18th, 1904. To use an old cliché, the perfect Male Star must be someone “Men want to be and woman want to be with.”
Cary Grant , every time this name comes out of my mouth it either meets a pleasantly surprised face or a clueless one. Archibald Alexander Leach (January 18, 1904–November 29, 1986), better known by his stage name Cary Grant, was an English actor who later took US citizenship. Known for his transatlantic accent, debonair demeanor and “dashing good looks”], Grant is considered one of classic Hollywood’s definitive leading men. Cary grant to me is the quintessential gentleman, period. - A. Coleman

RED RIVER (1948) - Montgomery Clift prepares for the role of 'Matthew Garth' by rolling a cigarette - This shot was part of a photo shoot by Life magazine. The length of Clift's sideburns--as well as the chaps & shirt--suggest that the photo shoot happened before 'Red River' began filming in Arizona--and during the time Clift was still shooting 'The Heiress' with Olivia DeHavilland.

One of my favorite music icons the "King of Rock and Roll." Elvis Presley was one of the most famous cultural icons of the 20th century. He grew up in a poor neighborhood and didn't have much as a child, but he made a breakthrough in 1954 where he began his music career and from there he took off and became one of the biggest stars of his time.
Elvis Presley was commonly referred to as the “King of Rock and Roll.” He began his singing career in 1954 and in two years he was an international sensation. He has sold over a billion records worldwide as well as starring in over 31 films. When Elvis grew in popularity everyone went crazy for this new sounds and he became a huge sex symbol for many women and teens of the 1950s. CA
Cultural icon, the King of Rock and Roll - Elvis was born 79 years ago today on 1-8 in 1935. Presley is regarded as one of the most important figures of 20th-century popular culture. He had a versatile voice and unusually wide success encompassing many genres, including country, pop ballads, gospel, and blues. He is the best-selling solo artist in the history of popular music.
16th August 1977 Elvis Presley dies Popular music icon Elvis Presley dies in Memphis, Tennessee. He was 42. The death of the “King of Rock and Roll” brought legions of mourning fans to Graceland, his mansion in Memphis. Doctors said he died of a heart attack, likely brought on by his addiction to prescription barbiturates.
The King, Elvis Presley. Though millions have tried to impersonate him there was only one! Incredible natural baritone voice with a wonderful range and fullness. Listen carefully to some of his songs and you'd hear the potential he had to sing legit (operatic) style music.

Elvis Presley- (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) Elvis was an American singer and actor. A cultural icon, he is commonly known by the single name Elvis. One of the most popular musicians of the 20th century, he is often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" or simply "the King". Prescription drug abuse severely compromised his health, and he died suddenly in 1977 at the age of 42.

Elvis Presley -- singer, musician, & actor. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century, he is often referred to as "the King of Rock and Roll", or simply, "the King". Fav of #pop2life COO, Michele Wiltshire.
Elvis Presley didn’t write his own songs and he couldn’t play the guitar. His trademark moves weren’t really dance moves and he couldn’t act to save his life. Just because of a tragic death, he’s considered the King of Rock n’ Roll. He’s another case of popularity leading to much more popularity. He definitely didn’t deserve to be as famous as is.
One of the things almost no one knows about me....I'm madly in love with a young Elvis Presley :)

Elvis Presley, the King of Rock n' Roll, Memphis's main man & a hunka' hunka' burning love.yes, he was a "pretty boy"
Elvis Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) "Would you look at the head of hair on this man ~ black, thick and wavy!"
The King of Rock and Roll that hair is so Tennessee just too much. It's wonderful to see all that.
Elvis may be the king of rock ‘n’ roll but he hit some major setbacks on his way to the top. After one performance at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry, the concert hall’s manager told the singer he was better off returning to Memphis and his old career, driving trucks. Luckily for modern music, he didn’t. Presley continued to book shows in the area and eventually landed a spot on a tour with Hank Snow, the then biggest star in country music.
