This is an exquisite dinner ring from the early 20th century. This early Art Deco ring centers an .80 carat European cut diamond bezel set in a rectangular plaque which is delicately pierced and set with both glittering antique cut diamonds as well as calibre cut synthetic sapphires. A round cut diamond highlights each shoulder.
A classically modeled, vintage emerald-cut diamond, weighing just shy of two-and-a-half-carats and bearing a GIA Diamond Grading Report stating: E color-VS1 clarity, is presented in consummate Art Deco style in this stunning and impressive platinum and diamond ring. The icy-white diamond, presumably cut during the 1930s-40s, was evidently remounted at a later date utilizing modern full-cut and sleek straight baguette diamonds on top and the original european-cut diamonds on the sides.
