Exceptional - Antique Feathered Double Star Quilt
One of a Kind - Antique, Feathered Double Star Quilt. 1920s.
This is a unique and beautiful quilt! To be specific it’s a Double Feathered Star quilt circa 1920's, made in America. Bright pink, lime green, and off-white cotton for the pieced blocks. The lime green and off-white cottons were used for the sashing and border. 84" x 82" Professionally hand laundered The quilt has a thin cotton batting, and an off-white back. Hand quilted with outline quilting inside the pieces, Chevron and floral quilting on the blocks background, rope quilting on the sashing, and running scallop quilting on the borders @ 6 stitches per inch. I haven't seen any stains, tears or condition issues on the main body of the quilt. There is some light spotting or tanning on the white section of the border. The previous owner advised me that when she purchased the quilt there was wear and light fraying on the binding and she made a decision to turn the solid white backing forward and hand stitch a new binding from the existing fabric. This reduced the size of the border slightly on all sides of the quilt. When you look very closely you can see that at the top of the quilt where the fraying went a little deeper, there are a couple of sections that are narrower than on the rest of the quilt.

Antique Quilt Crown of Thorns Quilt in Red 1920s
This gorgeous antique quilt is made completely by hand in a beautiful red, tan, and white color scheme. It features a "Crown of Thorns" pattern with red and tan pieced blocks on a white background. Small square and triangles of cotton material were meticulously cut and pieced together by hand to make this stunning antique quilt. The matching red binding is in good condition. The stitching is expertly done at 9 spi and the quilt is backed with plain white fabric. It is densely quilted in a small cross-hatch pattern. It measures 80" by 76" and is a medium weight quilt. The only imperfections on the quilt are two light spots which are shown in the photo collage. I have not laundered the quilt and offer it in as-found condition.
