Gettysburg is an awesome day trip or weekend trip from DC. Be sure to hire a National Park Service guide to dive your car on a private tour, go on an evening ghost tour of downtown, eat at the historic Farnsworth Tavern, and have a cigar at the Union Cigar Lounge across the street from where Abraham Lincoln stayed the night before he gave the Gettysburg Address!
